Winoma Bryan Edmondson
June 27, 1919 ~ June 15, 2019 (age 99)
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Addington Cemetery for Winoma Bryan Edmondson, 99, who died June 15 in Duncan. Rev. Dr. Janice Sharp will officiate. Winnie was born June 27, 1919, in Cumberland, Oklahoma, and graduated from Addington High School in 1938. She later graduated from what was then Central State College in Edmond and began a teaching career that lasted forty years in Oklahoma, Indiana, Missouri and Texas before she retired to Duncan in 1986. On Nov. 21, 1945, in Comanche, she married Thomas Lloyd Edmondson, Jr., whom she had met in the first grade. He preceded her in death in 2017. A life-long Methodist, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Duncan. She is survived by daughter Donna Pulliam and son Gary Edmondson, both of Duncan; grandson Edward Russell and his wife Jessica of Austin, TX; grand-daughter Julianna Willmott and her husband Bruce of Weatherford, TX, and grandson Clark Pulliam of Duncan. Also surviving her are four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grand-daughters. There will be no visitation. Grantham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The children thank the staff at Country Club Care for seeing to the well-being of their parents.
