Ula Karen Brenneis, 66, long time resident of Duncan passed away Wednesday March 11, 2020 after a long illness.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:30am Saturday March 14 at the New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday March 13 from 5 to 7pm at the Don Grantham Funeral Home. Cremation and services are under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home.
Ula Karen was born August 10, 1953 to Ulas Fowler and Wanda Lou Hood in Duncan, Oklahoma. She graduated from the Duncan High School class of 1971. She married the love of her life Joe Brenneis on June 2, 1973 in Duncan.She had a long career as an Administrative assistant working for Sledge Insurance, Whitten Insurance and Perkins Insurance. She also worked for Gerald Davis and Edward Jones investment. She also served as a volunteer for the Stephens County Humane Society and served on there Board of Directors. She was a volunteer for Gabriel's House.
She enjoyed flower gardening in her free time and had a love for all animals. The thing that she enjoyed the most was spending time with her grandson Baylem and with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband: Joe Brenneis; two sons: Travis Brenneis and Blake Brenneis and one grandson Baylem Brenneis.
She was preceeded in death by her parents and one sister Diana Hood.
