Ruth Jo Strange, 89, of Duncan passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Mart Hodges officiating. Interment will follow at Weaver Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday. Ruth Jo Strange was born on April 12, 1928 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Jess Dewey Martin and Gladys D. (Baker) Martin. Jo attended school at Loco and lived in the Comanche area all her life. She married the love of her life WG Strange on September 14, 1947 in Henrietta, Texas. Jo was a loving homemaker raising five kids. She enjoyed her retirement years helping her husband and family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, sisters and grandchildren. Jo was a member of the Kingdom Hall-Jehovah's Witness in Duncan where she was active in her faith and enjoyed reading. Jo is survived by her son, David Strange of Comanche, Oklahoma; her daughters, Linda Ramsey of Comanche, Oklahoma, Saundra Beamesderfer and her husband Richard of Lawton, Oklahoma, Janice Cain of Altus, Oklahoma, Kathy Hopkins of Duncan, Oklahoma; her sisters, Kay Morrison of Tyler, Texas, Ruby Ledford of Comanche, Oklahoma, Jean Tewilliger of Palatka, Florida, Donna Strange of Comanche, Oklahoma and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband WG Strange; her parents, Jess and Gladys Martin; her sisters, Phyllis Bennyhill, Wanda Reardon, Alice Williams, and her brothers Jessie Martin and Arvid Martin. Pallbearers will be Greg Blair, Ian Cain, Cody Hopkins, Jason Chambless, Brian Bullard, and River Henning. Honorary Pallbearers will be T.J. Strange and Billy Don Strange.
