Jim Roche passed away on Wednesday March 18, 2020. He went to be with his beloved wife Betty. He and Betty had children and raised a family in Duncan, Oklahoma where they brought up their two sons, James Arthur Roche II and Michael Alan Roche. He graduated from Central State University, now University of Central Oklahoma and was the first member of his family to graduate from college. Jim worked at Halliburton as an accountant for many years, but his favorite thing to do was restore old cars. He worked on many cars for friends and finally finished his own wonderful classic 1940 Ford Coupe. At home, Jim loved to cook steaks on the grill and learning about history. While serving on the Duncan School Board, including terms as President, Jim found the time to coach a variety of grade school teams for his children.
Jim also loved to spend time with friends and family at the Moose Lodge. He proudly represented the Moose Lodge in many positions locally and in the state. He achieved the highest degree rank of Pilgrim and wore his gold jacket with pride whenever possible. Jim took great pleasure in playing shuffleboard and cards. He also loved walking at the mall, meeting with friends and passing out candy to children. The family asks that donations be made to www.mooseheart.org or www.moosehaven.org in lieu of flowers.
