Helen Vivian Allen

April 16, 1925 ~ December 12, 2018 (age 93)
Helen Vivian Allen, 93, and life long resident of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2018 in Duncan surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 10:00am Monday, Dec. 17, 2018 at First Baptist Church Chapel, Duncan with Rev. Harold Metheny officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Sunday, December 16th from 4:00 to 6:00pm.
Helen Vivian was born April 16, 1925 in Duncan to Addie Lee (Thomas) and William Wesley Wilson. She married Charles Allen on May 19, 1943 in Duncan. He preceded her in death Dec. 8, 2015.
Helen was employed with Duncan Regional Hospital for 53 years and retired as the Housekeeping Supervisor in 1994.
She enjoyed Quilting, Gardening and watching wildlife through her kitchen window with her family and walking around looking at all the flowers. Helen loved having her family around..
Survivors include seven children: Charles W. Allen and wife Maggie, Barbara J. Pierce, Judi K. Pfeifer, Mary A. Messenger and husband Mike, all of Duncan, Jan Vanderslice and husband Jack of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Jerry D. Allen and wife Mary Jo of Comanche, Oklahoma and Linda Jo Barthel and husband Dan of Bluffton, Minnesota; a sister, Loretta McCalmant of Duncan; a sister-in-law, Opal Wilson; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one on the way in March; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Rex M. Wilson, Earl L. Wilson, Johnny Mae Wilson, William Leron Wilson, Lewis Wilson and Ben Wilson; two sisters, Dorothy Wilson and Betty Jo Payne; two sons-in-law, Richard Dean Pierce and Danny Pfeifer; two grandchildren, Kimberly Kelly and Danny Lynn Pfeifer; a great-granddaughter, Ashley Brooke Troutman; and great-great-grandson, Kyle Wayne Skiles.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to: The Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
