“Dot” Williams passed away May 1st 2018 at the age of 88. She left this world in her own home in Meridian, with her loving family by her side. Her Savior Jesus Christ met her on the other side, as well as her beloved late husband JB Williams, granddaughter Haley Williams-Carson, parents E.D. & LaVina Rice, and brothers Bill and Leslie Rice.
She leaves behind a grieving but grateful family including her sister Rene & B.R. Davidson of Mead and three sons, Jimmy & Cova Williams of Duncan, David & Patti Williams of Duncan, Gary Williams of the home and her loving dog Sally.
Granny Dot was loved and adored by her seven grandchildren, Allison Golding of Missoula MT, Cameron Williams of Ojai, CA, Haley Williams-Carson deceased, Farra Williams of Koh Lanta Thailand, Ashley Speight of Duncan, Kenzie Ricks of Velma and Kayla Williams of Norman. She was the proud great grandmother of nine with one more due any day.
She will forever be loved remembered by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews of whom six will have the honor of being her pallbearers.
Dot was known for her sweet and friendly good nature towards all she met. She had a huge heart for dogs and spent many years volunteering at the local Humane Society. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and bird watching but her favorite pastime was simply being with her family. Her love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren was deep and wide.
The family will receive visitors at Don Grantham Funeral home on Friday May 4, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm.
A family gathering will be held at Liberty Baptist Church on Saturday May 5, 2018 at 12:30pm followed by a funeral service at Liberty Baptist at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Duncan Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
