David Thomas Rochell
November 21, 1938 ~ April 8, 2019 (age 80)
David Thomas Rochell was born on November 21, 1938 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Esther Mae Whitaker and David John Rochell. He was welcomed into the kingdom of Heaven on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Elk Crossing Long Term Care in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, April 12 at Don Grantham Funeral Chapel with Pastors Stephen and Louetta Grace officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday April 11 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
David graduated from Empire Schools where he drove a bus for the school his Junior and Senior year. His lifetime hobbies included camping, fishing and riding motorcycles on road trips with his two brothers.
He married Patricia Ann Brian on January 13, 1962. They had two daughters Rita and Susie.
He spent most of his working career at Halliburton as a machinist before retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia Ann Rochell; his children, Rita and Rickey Bass of Duncan and Susie Myers and Norman Condit of Duncan; grandchildren: Amanda and Kurt Tinney of Duncan, Stephanie and Brandon Minyard of Norman, Victoria and Eddie Howard of Ratliff City, Ashley Bass and Harold Kinter of Yukon, Olivia Myers and Dylan Thompson of Wilson; great-grandchildren: Carson Ryder Eaves, Corbin Dean Bass, Kelton Jay Tinney, Sawyer Gene Thompson and Oliver Kain Howard; two brothers, Ronnie Rochell and Bill Rochell, both of Duncan; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Mae and father, David John; and baby sister, Rita.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial donations be made to: Alzheimer's Association P.O. Box 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011.
