Claudia Kay Shults, 81, of Duncan, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Claudia was born on January 24, 1938, in Trieste, Italy, to Giordano Blazevich and Alberta “Prodan” Blazevich. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 15, 2019, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Don Grantham Funeral Home. Service will be Monday, September 16, 2019, at 2:00 p.m., at the Assumption Catholic Church, with Father Peter Jandaczek officiating. Pallbearers will be Bryan Bradburry, Clayton Berry, Kevyn Berry, Shawn Lang, Nathan Thompson, and Lyndol Shults. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Shults, Jack Shults, and Vernon Burton. Interment will follow at the Rock Creek Cemetery Duncan, Oklahoma. Service arrangements are provided by Don Grantham Funeral Home in Duncan, Oklahoma. Claudia met her loving husband, Billy D. Shults in Italy. They were married on May 19, 1956, in Trieste, Italy. She owned and operated Claudia's Italian Restaurant in Duncan, Oklahoma, for 20 years, where she met and made many new friends. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, her family and friends, and tending to her plants. Claudia loved her family very much. She also loved taking care of and pampering her cats, Sylvester and Ava. Claudia was a faithful member of Assumption Catholic Church and volunteered over 20 years at the food bank. Claudia is survived by her son, LeRoy Shults and his wife, Vickie, of Duncan, Oklahoma; two daughters, Linda Shults and Cindy Bradburry, both of Duncan, Oklahoma; her daughter-in-law, Lori, of Duncan, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Chris White, Deana Thompson, Mandi Berry, Amber Lang, and Bryan Bradburry; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great, great grandchild: and, a niece, Mirella Malattia, of Trieste, Italy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill of 43 years; her parents; a son, Robbie Shults; a great granddaughter, Bailey Bradburry- Lang; a sister, Imperia Malattia; and her father- and mother-in-law, Charlie and Myrl Shults.
