Carol Lisa Klingensmith, age 55, passed away peacefully and quietly with her husband and sister at her side on November 17th 2019.
Services will be 1:00PM Wednesday November 20, 2019 at the New Hope Baptist Church West with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Interment will follow at the Duncan Municipal Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Don Grantham Funeral Home
She was married to her first and forever love John Klingensmith on August 19, 1984 in Duncan Ok. Her life was completed when she gave birth to her two beautiful loving children Lisa and Collin.
Her parents who predeceased her were originally of Havana Cuba. They were long time residents of Duncan. Her sister Mayra McCloud currently lives in Fayetteville, NC remembers her fondly.
She was the light in many people's lives. Funny, gregarious, always laughing and smiling. She loved watching and coaching her daughter, Lisa, in gymnastics all growing up and then coached alongside her until a month ago. One of her favorite things to do was watch her son Collin play baseball. A warm, sunny day at the ball field was her happy place. More recently Carol and her husband John would spend many weekends at their cabin that her and John were renovating in eastern Oklahoma. Her and John made many good memories spending quality time just the two of them there. She loved her students at Lee and Emerson elementary schools as well as the gymnasts she coached at Powerhouse Academy and Rucker's Gymnastics. She was artistic and had a knack for decorating. She had a way of making anything fun whether it be conditioning her gymnasts, teaching aerobics, or making up jingles or songs to help her 3rd graders remember answers for a test. She was beautiful inside and out. She loved her family deeply and unconditionally. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her granddaughter Havana, and her grandson Rocky could not have been more loved by his Tita.
