Carmen Jane Buben, 81, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, at 12:00 PM at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glenn McGee officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Jane was born August 26, 1938 in Effingham, Illinois, the only child of Elmer Eugene and Rosella Lavon (Herrington) Moelling. She married Howard Buben on May 31, 1957 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Jane attended schools in Purcell, Elk City, Chickasha, and Duncan, Oklahoma. She graduated from Duncan High School in 1956 and attended Oklahoma A&M College in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was employed at Halliburton Services in Duncan from 1974 to 1986 as a. Senior Office Clerk and at the District OSU Extension Office in Duncan as Senior Secretary from 1986 to her retirement in 2003.
Jane had attended Plato Baptist Church and Tanglewood Bible Fellowship in Duncan. She enjoyed reading, attending church and related activities, fitness activities at the Simmons Center, and was an active member of the Relay for Life – American Cancer Society. Jane mostly looked forward to spending time with family.
Survivors are her three children, Jay Buben of Duncan, Oklahoma, Randal Buben and his wife Rana of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Shelly Glasgow of Flower Mound, Texas; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard Buben, parents Elmer and Lavon Moelling and her son in law, Phil Glasgow.
Pallbearers are Jack Buben, Joe Roberts, Jerry Buben, Tim Buben, Joe Struble, Dick Roberts
Honorary pallbearers are Joe Freeman, Tony Roberts, Marty Mcateer.
