Bobby Gene McGuire, 59, of Duncan, Oklahoma passed away peacefully early Thursday Morning on November 28, 2019 at his home in Duncan surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, at 11:00 A.M. at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with J. J. Harper officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 P.M. at Fort Sill National Cemetery with military honors provided by Stephens County Honor Guard and the Patriot Riders. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Bobby Gene McGuire was born on February 23, 1960 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Bobby Dean and Edna Lois McGuire. Bobby attended Shawnee High School. After graduating, he went into the armed services and served his country honorably from 1979 to 1983 at a SP5 with the US Army. Returning home, he went to work for Halliburton as a Senior Maintenance Technician before retiring in 2018. Bobby would marry his wife Janie Ann McDaniel on September 1, 2015 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Bobby enjoyed fishing, boating collecting guns. He was a member of the VFW here in Duncan and NHRA.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Janie Ann McGuire of the home; his stepdaughter, Sommer Nealy and her husband Ryan Dunne of Duncan; his daughters, Ashton McGuire of North Carolina, Shannon Wigginton and her husband Josh of Duncan, Nikki McGuire; seven grandchildren and his mother, Edna McGuire. Bobby is preceded in death by his father Bobby Dean McGuire. Pallbearers will be Terry Renfro, Josh Wigginton, Ethan Munoz, Ryann Dunne, Mike Hason and Mike Jackson. The family would like to thank Chisholm Trail Hospice for their love and care.
