Former longtime Duncan, Oklahoma resident Bobbie Ann Rogers passed from this world on June 29, 2019 in Oklahoma City surrounded by loved ones. Bobbie and her husband Rick were currently living in Stillwater. Bobbie lived her life to the last day with dignity, grace, faith, and in service to all those around her. She was a brave soul, who fought a long, hard battle with ovarian cancer. She will be remembered as a gracious, loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and an example to us all. Bobbie leaves this world with a legacy of generosity, kindness, patriotism, and love. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday July 9, 2019 at the Don Grantham Funeral Chapel. The family will visit with friends at the Don Grantham Funeral Home Monday July 8th from 5:00 to 7:00pm. Bobbie earned bachelor’s degrees in Home Economics Education and Fashion Merchandising from Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree in Home Economics Professional Services from the University of Central Oklahoma. She was an educator for 27 years at Yale High School, Meridian Tech, and Duncan High School. Bobbie then worked 7 years as a Family & Consumer Science program specialist at CareerTech in Stillwater. Bobbie was born Sept.12, 1952 in Duncan to Lota Ann and James Winston Campbell. She married Richard Rogers on June 15, 1974 in Duncan. Survivors include her husband Richard Rogers, of the home; a son Matt Rogers of Duncan and a daughter, Allyson Brown and spouse Chris of Wylie, Texas; her mother, Lota Ann (Campbell) Shults of Duncan; and three grandchildren Keegan, Lilly, and AJ Brown. Bobbie was preceded in death by her father, James Winston Campbell; and a brother, Lyndell Ray Campbell. Memorial gifts may be made to the Stephenson Cancer Center at OU Medical.
