Allan Max Letterman, 76, of Duncan passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, May 28 at First Baptist Church in Duncan, Oklahoma with Pastor Bryan Pain with military honors provided by Stephens County Honor Guard. Interment will be at Ft Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Allan Max Letterman was born on June 23, 1943 in Palm Springs, California to Max and Ruth (Dilworth) Letterman. After graduating from high school Allan went on to serve his country by joining the United States Air Force in 1961 as a radar technician and reaching the rank of Airman 2nd class before being honorably discharged in 1967. After his service, Allan would work for Xerox Corporation as an Electronic Technician for 32 years before retiring. He would go on to marry the love of his life Vickie Vincent on October 3, 1981 in New Orleans Louisiana. Allan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Duncan; he was a member of the American Legion and the Harley Davidson Club. Allan enjoyed working on electronics and tinkering, he enjoyed riding his Harley and most of all being with his family.
Allan is survived by his loving wife 38 years; Vickie Letterman, of Duncan; his children, Michael Letterman, of Fort Worth, Texas, Annette Thomas of Coppell, Texas; Stephanie Marino of Weatherford, Texas; his godchild, C J Ducote of New Orleans, Louisiana his siblings, Donald Kent Letterman, Virginia Hill, Elizabeth DeAngelo; his grandchildren, Jennifer Thomas, Laura Thomas, Lantz Smiddy, Michael Letterman II, Christopher Letterman, Tanner Marino, Carver Marino, Sawyer Marino; and great grandchildren, Alyssa Boren and Samuel Smiddy.
Allan is preceded in death by his sister, Patsy Bradley, his grandson, Jarid Letterman and his Parents, Max and Ruth Letterman.
