Mary Pauline Moffatt, longtime resident of Duncan, Oklahoma, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 8, 2017.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017 at the Don Grantham Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Brad Allen officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Duncan Cemetery. Services are under the direction Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan.
The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Friday, Nov. 10th from 5:00 to 7:00pm
Pauline was born March 29, 1927 on a farm in Steuben County, Indiana to Burton and Louella Hollinger. She was united in marriage to her one true love, Lowell Gordon Moffatt, on March 20, 1947 in Angola, Indiana. She made her home wherever Lowell's career led them. Their lives together started in Indiana and expanded stateside to Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and overseas to Switzerland, Great Britain and Singapore. Their final stop was in Duncan, Oklahoma. Lowell preceded her in death August 25, 1995. They were married for 49 blissful years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, eight sisters and her twin brother Jacob Paul Hollinger (Jake).
She was a beloved wife and mother who devoted her life to her church and her family. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Duncan since 1966, serving as a Sunday School Director for the 5th Grade for many years. She also served on the funeral dinner committee, the Week of Prayer program planner's committee, the pastor search committee; was the enlistment-enlargement director of mission opportunities for the Women's Missionary Union; worked with the Homebound Ministry, and was the outreach leader for her Sunday School Department before succumbing to Alzheimer's and dementia. She was also a member of the Leola Ragland Women's Mission Group and the Four Leaf Clover Women's Club, serving as program and devotional leader, yearbook committee, calling committee and a two time president.
Pauline is survived by her 3 sons, James Moffatt and his wife Kay of Duncanville, Texas, Dr. John Moffatt and his wife Susan of Spokane, Washington, Jerry Moffatt and his wife Sharon of Duncan, Oklahoma and her daughter, Christy Caskey and her husband Kenneth of Frisco, Texas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; her sister, Janet Kieffer of Indianapolis, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews.
